👀 Research assistants in the CHARM Lab spent this week learning the lab’s eye-tracking protocol.
Dr. Jiaying Liu and Ph.D. candidate Qiyao Peng led the training, going through practice sessions with RAs. RAs learn to set up the equipment, walk a participant through the procedure, catch problems in the middle of a session, and check data quality before anyone leaves the room.
Training undergraduates to run studies independently is a core part of how this lab works. It is how the research actually gets done — and it is how students find out whether this is something they want to keep doing.
