We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jiaying Liu has been awarded the prestigious Waterhouse Family Institute (WFI) Grant for the Study of Communication and Society!
This grant will support a novel intervention project that integrates critical thinking training with digital anti-vaping messages. The study will examine whether empowering young adult vapers to critically evaluate persuasive content can enhance message engagement, reduce vaping behavior, and ultimately inform more effective public health strategies. This is a true team effort. Thank you, Yidi Wang, Jessica Ye, and Qiyao Peng, for your contributions to the project! Tha CHARM Lab will plan on starting data collection in Fall 2025.
